Description
The Merrill Hide-Drant is a sanitary yard hydrant that has been approved as such in even the most restrictive states like; Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Available in stainless or PVC and with a curved or straight neck, Merrill provides a sanitary hydrant option for you. The Hide-Drant's standpipe can be removed with three counter-clockwise turns, then drain the standpipe of water and your Hide-Drant is frost-proof for freezing temps. The stop valve at the bottom of the Hide-Drant is automatically opened when the standpipe is reinstalled. The seals between the stop valve and the standpipe are water-tight before the valve is reopened. The Hide-Drant's outlet can be set to any direction by simply tightening the standpipe the three turns from where you want the outlet to be.

Outlet Can be in Any Direction - Pivot outlet counter-clockwise to direction desired, approximately three revolutions needed to remove standpipe. Do NOT overtighten the standpipe by forcing a clockwise revolution of the outlet.

Bottom Case - Has one-way flapper drain to remove any spilled water in case, plus cover over the drain on outside of case protects the drain from backfill
No Tools Required (after initial installation) - Hydrant riser pipe can be removed and reinstalled in seconds with only a few turns
Removable Riser Pipe - You can mow right over the bottom case with the riser pipe removed
No-Lead Compliance - Models available in both yard hydrants and straight
WARNING: This hydrant must have the standpipe removed and water drained out of the pipe when freezing temperatures may be present.
