1Find the installation location
Find a spot on the side of the well casing that’s below the frost line; this is where the water line will connect and run from the well.

Before You Start
- Confirm well casing size and pitless adapter model
- Verify burial depth and local frost line
- Make sure the casing is clean and accessible
- Have the correct hole saw, pipe, wrench, and Anti-Seize/Gasket Lube ready
- Plan to finish with a watertight or ventilated well cap, depending on code.
1. Locate, Mark & Drill the Casing
2Mark the selected depth
Center punch to mark the selected depth the adapter will go on the well casing.
3Drill the casing hole
Use a hole saw to drill through the casing to form the hole for the adapter.

2. Position & Secure the Adapter
4Prepare the adapter
Remove the lock nut, backplate, and gasket from the adapter. Do not remove the female O-ring.
5Install a pipe in the male half
Screw a pipe into the male half of the adapter.
6Lower the female part
Lower the female part down using the pipe, until it pokes through the hole.
7Secure from the outside
From the outside secure the adapter in place by screwing the gasket, backplate, and lock nut back in place.
3. Lubricate, Connect & Complete Installation
8Remove the male part and pipe
Take the male part and pipe out from inside the well.
9Lubricate the machined surface and O-ring
Apply anti-seize or gasket lube to the machined surface and O-ring.
10Connect to the pump drop pipe
Connect the male part to the pump drop pipe.
11Installation complete
