Installation Guide

SIMPLE STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION

Merrill Well Seals provide a secure seal between the well casing and drop pipe while helping protect the well from contamination.

1Loosen the Bolts

Loosen the Bolts
  • Loosen all bolts evenly
  • Do NOT remove bolts
  • Check well seal fits casing

2Lower Into Casing

Lower Into Casing
  • Lower seal into PVC casing
  • Verify seal sits level
  • Position pipe and wire

3Tighten the Bolts

Tighten the Bolts
  • Tighten evenly in a crisscross pattern
  • Compress rubber seal uniformly
  • Seal sits flush with top of casing

4Install Wire Bushing & Vent

Install Wire Bushing & Vent
  • Route wire through bushing
  • Install plastic washer if needed
  • Thread in wire bushing
  • Install Merrill Well Vent (Highly Recommended)
  • Install included plug only if vent is not used
Wire entry and vent assembly: route wire through bushing, install rubber seal washer, install plastic washer, thread bushing into tapping, and install vent. Success check: seal is secure, wire entry is sealed, and vent or plug is installed.

Wire Entry & Vent Assembly

  1. Route wire through bushing.
  2. Install rubber seal washer.
  3. Install plastic washer.
  4. Thread bushing into tapping.
  5. Install vent.

Success Check

  • Seal is secure.
  • Wire entry is sealed.
  • Vent or plug installed.
