Installation Guide

For Submersible Well Pumps

An Extra Safeguard for Your Submersible Pump.

Common with poly/PVC drop pipe in some regions. Bright yellow rope is easier to see inside a dark well.

Before You Start

Confirm the Setup

Not every installation calls for safety rope. Check the pump manual, local well requirements, and approved attachment method.

Check Rope, Eyelets & Length

Inspect rope for cuts or wear; confirm its working load and enough length to reach from the pump to the approved fitting or pitless adapter.

4 Simple Steps

  1. Find the Attachment Points

Locate the pump discharge-head eyelet and an approved upper anchor, such as a pitless adapter or eyelet-equipped insert fitting.

  2. Attach to the Pump Eyelet

Secure rope at the designated pump eyelet using the pump maker-approved method. Never attach it to power wires.

  3. Run Rope Along the Drop Pipe

Run rope from the pump to the wellhead. Control slack to prevent loops, tangles or pinching as the pump is lowered.

  4. Secure at the Wellhead

Tie off to the approved pitless, eyelet-equipped fitting or wellhead anchor. Keep rope clear of service parts and sanitary seals.
