WCI6 Well Cap
Installation Guide

Sanitary (watertight) well cap

Watertight wellhead protection

Designed for 6-inch well casing with a wide compression seal to help keep water and debris out.

Before you start

Match the cap

Confirm 6-inch I.D. and 6-5/8-inch O.D. casing. Check the cap casting, clamping ring, neoprene gasket, rubber seal, and all five bolt and nut sets.

Make it safe

Turn off pump power at the breaker and verify it is off. Wear safety glasses and keep dirt and debris out of the open well.

Four installation steps

  1. Prepare the casing

Expose the top of the casing. Clear dirt and debris, and check that the rim is level and free of outside burrs.

  2. Slide on the bottom ring

Slide the bottom clamping ring over the well casing.

  3. Install the gasket and secure the cap

Seat the gasket and rubber seal as shown in the installation illustration. Set the cap on the casing above the clamping ring. Align the cap and tighten the bolts evenly until snug. Avoid overtightening.

  4. Connect and inspect

Reconnect conduit and wires using approved waterproof connectors. Keep the screened vent clear. Verify that the cap is secure before restoring pump power.
