Merrill is the best yard hydrant there is. Mainly because you can service it without having to dig it up. Have had other brands that get hard to open and have to be dug up to repair. Can't beat Merril's products.

Last C 1000 lasted twenty plus years. Could have rebuilt it, but I’m getting old, and did not want to dig up that four foot pit again! Just replaced it, confident that it would last another twenty. Great American made product that I am proud to do business with and recommend. Lack of retailers in this area is the only issue, but ordering direct was not that difficult. Installation was smooth with no adjustment needed. Noticed initials engraved on the shaft, no doubt for quality control. In this throw away time we live in, it’s great to see a company making durable products that actually work well. Thank you.

I have not installed this one yet. I installed a previous purchase of the C1000 and have no complaints. The one I had to replace had a blue head and was only in the ground for about 2 years, this one has been installed for about the same amount of time and no problems

well made easy to install used 3/4 npt elbow screwed pvc pipe to it. check for leaks before filling in trench. used post hole digger where c-1000 was going put gravel in post hole for drainage.
