I needed an odd size cup , 1.295 which is unavailable. So I soaked the 1.250 cup in rubbing alcohol for a couple of hours then assembled it with a shim of cardboard to resize it and let it dry for 2 days. Works perfectly and the antique saw it’s on is being restored. Thanks

Excellent quality. Very thick leather. Well constructed. I put one in a pump from a Model T Ford. Worked like new. The other went into a pump from about 1930 that belonged to my Grandfather. Like new now. Better than the original leather cups.

I purchased the leather components to rebuild a 2 inch hand pump. The leather piston does not quite fill the cylinder and it requires me to prime the pump, which is the problem I was trying to fix. The manufacturing quality is excellent. I don’t quite understand why I’m not getting good contact with the cylinder walls.

I am rebuilding a 40 year old vintage hand pump. OEM parts are not available, however, the Merrill leather cup is exactly to OEM spec and fit perfectly. Hand pump is now working good as new.
